Iya Bawa Pyiki is a seasoned Development Lawyer and leverages four years of expertise in Women and Children’s Rights. A graduate of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and the Nigerian Law School, she also holds an LLM in Constitutional and Human Rights Law. Passionate about women in governance, Iya played a pivotal role in securing a landmark judgment at the Federal High Court for the 35% Affirmative Action for Nigerian Women. Currently, as the Head of Compliance, Operations and Sustainability at Compliance360/Gender Mobile Initiative and the Senior State Counsel at the Taraba State Ministry of Justice, she excels in both corporate and public sectors. Serving as the Secretary of The Young Women in Politics Forum Abuja Branch( YWIPF) and a Committee Secretary in the NBA Women Forum, Iya actively volunteers for FIDA Nigeria, showcasing unwavering commitment to social and gender justice. Her diverse roles as advocate, humanitarian, and administrator highlight a dedication to a democratic society rooted in inclusivity and justice.
