Minta Samaila Yusuf obtained her LL.B degree from the University of Maiduguri in 2012, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2013. She worked with Dammo & Co. Chambers Maiduguri and with the Youth Initiative for Advocacy, Growth and Advancement (YIAGA) Africa, as the Borno State Focal Person (SFP) during the 2023 Presidential and Governorship elections in Nigeria. She is an alumna of the North East Intellectual Entrepreneurial Fellowship (NEIEF), where she actively campaigned against Violent Extremism in the North East, Gender Support and Inclusion, using the social media. Minta co-authored an anthology “Ordinary Saviour” (Stories from Nigeria’s Northeast) and also was the book club facilitator of the North East Youth Leadership and Community Development Fellowship (NEYLCD). She volunteers with the Sickle Cell Aid Foundation (SCAF), Abuja. Minta is currently an Administrative Staff with the University of Maiduguri. Her hobbies are reading and listening to music.
