Marketing Director & Ecofeminist Advocate

Lisa Folawiyo Group • Lagos State

Hon. Soraya Koshoni

Soraya has been channelling her unique blend of creative storytelling and environmental advocacy into powerful campaigns since the LMI Fellowship. As Marketing Director at the Lisa Folawiyo Group, she spearheaded a sustainability-focused fashion collection that was featured at Lagos Fashion Week 2025, drawing attention to the intersection of culture and climate action.

Her photography work continued to gain recognition — a new series documenting women-led environmental projects in Lagos fishing communities was exhibited at the National Museum and received coverage from international art publications.

Inspired by the legislative knowledge gained at LMI, Soraya has been consulting with the Lagos State Ministry of Environment on communications strategies for the state’s new plastic waste reduction bill, helping translate policy language into public-facing campaigns that resonate with young Lagosians.

She also co-founded “Green Voices Lagos,” a monthly forum where creatives, policymakers, and activists discuss climate legislation and its impact on local communities.

“LMI showed me that creativity and policy aren’t separate worlds — they need each other.” — Soraya Koshoni
